Data Backup and Purge

To access this form you need the following rights turned on. Access Data Maintenance

With the scheduler closed,  click on FILE >>> SETUP >>> DATA MAINTENANCE

In this form you can export a copy of the entire database for use on another system or  keep a back up in case of hard drive or system failure. 

The  CUT OFF DATE is used to DELETE data from the working data base.  We suggest you compact and repair the data base as advised by Microsoft.  The radio buttons are used to select which item will be deleted but only one will be done at a time.  We suggest you  make a backup on the first one only, as this will contain all the data.  As you make a backup, each local backup would contain less information as you would be backing up a post purged data base.  The files will never over write because each backup is time and date stamped.
